Hussain and Yasmin Zahid are the power couple behind Ocean Group Maldives and together, they curate some of the world’s best dive and water sports experiences in Asia. Hussain founded the company in 1998 with Yasmin actively supporting and managing the overall strategy of the group. Combining Hussain’s vast experience in watersports and Yasmin’s extensive corporate travel experiences, Ocean Group Maldives is now one of the most successful premier dive and water sports operator with an impressive 20-year track record and many innovative launches.

Having grown up in the Maldives and spent a total of 28 years in the tourism industry. Hussain is a qualified watersports trainer and coach who has undergone training courses in the U.K. (Royal Yachting Association) and Germany (WWS and VDWS); holding internationally recognized Instructor certificates. Besides being an outstanding watersports instructor, Hussain is also a proficient athlete who has represented the Maldives in windsurfing in the 4th Indian Ocean Island Games in Seychelles and the 12th Asian Games in Japan, Hiroshima. He is also seven times national champion in both windsurfing and sailing.

Under the strong leadership of Hussain and Yasmin, Ocean Group Maldives not only specializes in all types of watersports related activities including dive and marine biology, the company is also a distributor and service center for major watersports & boating brands such as DEEPFLIGHT Super Falcon 3S Submarine, X-JETS Jetblade, X-JETS Jetpack, CORE Kites, SEABOB, RED Paddle & Co., MASTERCRAFT boats, CROWNLINE boats and PARITET glass bottom boats just to name a few.

With Moosa Zahid as Director of Sales and Operations, Ocean Group Maldives operates and manages eight water sports & dive centers in the Maldives, namely Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru, Four Seasons Resort Kuda Huraa, Four Seasons Private Island at Voavah, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Veligandu Island resort & Spa, Dusit Thani Maldives and Six Senses Laamu Maldives. They have also set up a water sports center at Four Seasons Hotel Langkawi Malaysia since January 2013 and added Four Seasons Hotel Nam Hai, Vietnam in December 2016 bringing the total to ten.
